Copra

Let me share this with you.

Copra production is an important agricultural commodity in the Philippines where coconut trees are plentiful. The process involves cutting the coconut shell in half and converting into copra (meat removed) by smoking it under the fire. Coconut oil is extracted from it. Coco oil has many usages. Copra is our source of family income here in my hometown in Bicol.

Unfortunately, my parents are getting old and are unable to carry it out. It’s a tough and manly work but rewarding. I hope I was a man to carry it on.
